mandr8ke Ah, 1988. Different time and place for me, but remember enjoying this Christian progressive pop/rock album very much. I credit their cover of "Onward" for taking me deeper into Yes's catalog. While I don't subscribe to same religious sentiments anymore, I appreciate the music being available for more to hear. Favorite track: Don't Wait For Me.

about

This was our big shot at making a real album. It was 6 long months in the making, and full of behind the scenes drama. Sadly, by the time we started mixing, we were extremely over-budget and over-schedule, so we had to rush the final portion of making the album. Had we had one more month, we could have made this album a piece of art. The record label wasn't interested in such things, and I personally suspect, the headaches we put the label through, helped them decide to drop us in early 1989. The album was far too artistically motivated for the 1980's corporate Christian music scene. It was at least, our one shot at making an expensive album.

about

Ian Tanner Kitchener, Ontario

I'm Ian Tanner, and music has been my life and livelihood since I was 15 years old. I'm a former member of two bands that got record deals in the 80's, and now, as an older fart, I still make my own music and also write music for tv and movies. My personal musical style is wide and curious. Thanks for checking me out on Bandcamp. Cheers! ... more
